Regional Response Capabilities

GovTrain’s Regional Response Coordination Centers operate within each of the ten FEMA regional offices around the nation. Our offices provide response and recovery support to each of the states and tribal governments within the regional jurisdictions. Additionally, our local offices provide situational awareness and once a disaster is declared, they begin to develop and execute mission objectives to support local applicants.

GovTrain’s Coordination Response Center brings together members of the federal family to better coordinate a combine’s federal response and easily deconflict issues by interacting with state and FEMA officials face-to-face. Yes, our staff comes together as a whole community to support first responders and disaster survivors.

Disaster Watch Capabilities

Our Regional Response Coordination Centers can activate to several different levels and can operate 24 hours a day and seven (7) days a week. The RRC centers can and will deploy functional teams to assist in operations management and technical assistance.

Activation Levels

Level 1 – Due to its severity, size, location, actual or potential impact on public health, welfare and infrastructure, the incident requires an extreme amount of direct Federal assistance for response and recovery efforts for which the capabilities to support it do not exist at any level of government.

Level 2 – A disaster which, due to its severity, size, location, actual or potential impact on public health, welfare, and infrastructure requires a high amount of direct Federal assistance for response and recovery efforts.

Level 3 – A disaster which, due to its severity, size, location, actual or potential impact on public health, welfare, and infrastructure requires a moderate amount of direct Federal assistance.
